I AM DELIGHTED TO ANNOUNCE MY ARIELLA AT HOME WORKSHOPS
A SERIES OF ONLINE VIDEOS TO BE ENJOYED FROM HOME
FLOWERS CONNECT US TO THAT TENDER PART OF OURSELVES — TO OUR CREATIVITY, OUR NEED FOR BEAUTY AND OUR LOVE OF NATURE.
I created these six lessons so that I could share my approach to floral design with you. Using step by step instructions, I will guide you through each arrangement and explain my choices and motivations along the way.
In these lessons you will:
1. Learn the basic mechanics for each different arrangement.
2. Learn to create movement in your arrangements by layering colors and building tone on tone.
3. Learn to balance color with texture, seasonality, and foraged elements.
Included with each lesson is a PDF with lists of all flowers and foliage used as well as links to materials sources.
Purchase the Bundle
In purchasing these six lessons, you will learn my design ethos and techniques which you can return to again and again. These lessons will guide your own approach and provide a deeper understanding of mine.

Large Compote
The compote arrangement has been a signature of mine for many years. Here I talk you through each step using a pin frog and tape for my mechanics. Use this as a guide to create your own versions incorporating branches, foliage and flowers.
Small Compote
The small compote, a diminutive version of the large compote shows a light and airy application incorporating tonal contrasts of vines, branches and flowers. The combination of small vessel and large frog makes this small arrangement fast and fun.
Large Scale Branch
This large scale branch arrangement is an example of how easily branches, and in this case long wine berry canes create great impact and instant drama with very little effort.
Party in a Vase
This arrangement, Party in a Vase is simple, quick and dramatic. It shows how easily one can make a joyful statement arrangement with very few ingredients. Dahlias on their own are always beautiful but here we see how branches give the somewhat stiff dahlias movement and long graceful lines.
Bridal Bouquet
This loose and lush bouquet shows my technique of building from the bottom up, combining small and large flowers and using lots of foliage to create movement and texture between the blossoms.
Setting A Table
When you take the time to create a beautiful tablescape you instantly elevate the mood of any event. Whether for an intimate gathering of friends or for a celebration, adding flowers, decorative accents and candles creates magic.
If you would like to book a private or group lesson via Zoom to include a curated box of fresh flowers, please contact Ariella directly.
